i'm glad you liked pedro páramo! i watched some videos on it to try and help me understand and even juan rulfo said that it needed to be read many times to be understood, so it makes sense that it is still puzzling. it's also cool that you got to look at so many great authors at university! i've only ever studied british authors at uni, but i would really love to do a course on some other culture's literature one day :]. i am really glad that learning spanish helped me discover so many new authors! i would love to learn portuguese to read clarice lispector's works in the original one day, but for now i'm just glad that spanish can give me a bit of a closer experience than english. also i do have a guestbook! i'm just in the process of moving things around right now so it's not featured on my website, but i've put it in the link here, it will be back soon :]

My quickest notif haha.
I'm not a literature guy myself — idk how's the culture on languages/linguistics/letras courses on other countries, but here smhw ppl kind of say they lean more to either linguistics or literature ^^' —, but rereading some classics been nice to me to remember who I am and my passions (which academia takes from us in a way, well...), so I've been on a bit of a trip, reading some oldies and using this interregnum after my master's to dust off my shelves [like that one book I bought in 2021 and never had time to read] (gotta read more books from the Anglosphere, tho!). Spanish def isn't my best lang, but hit a message somewhere and we can practice or sth, good luck on ur journey!
Hope seeing you around soon ^^.
